On January 7, 2024, Al Corniche Trading and Services Limited Company, a leading company in the restaurant and trading sector, conducted an intensive workshop on the procedures for implementing the requirements of ISO 22000:2018 certification. The workshop was organized for a duration of twelve days, from December 17, 2023, to January 3 of the current year.
Dr. Wael Al-Sabban, a certified trainer in the field of quality and food safety, and a registered senior auditor by the European Register for Certificated Auditors (ERCA) for the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System, and the Director of Quality Center for Food, Administrative, and Development Consultations, delivered detailed presentations and lectures during the training period. Dr. Al-Sabban covered the scope and benefits of ISO certification, as well as the historical development of the system. He also discussed the required process methodologies to meet the ISO 22000:2018 certification requirements.
A large number of participants attended the workshop, representing various restaurants and food production sectors related to the food industry. The workshop was organized with the aim of raising awareness among participants about the importance and benefits of complying with quality and food safety standards and the role of ISO certification in improving operations and ensuring the quality of food products.
The workshop included theoretical and practical training sessions, providing participants with opportunities to benefit from practical experience, interact with the trainer, and learn from each other. A practical example of implementing ISO certification requirements within a food production and distribution system was also provided.
